Cocozelle Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) Open-pollinated. Rich-flavored zucchini ribbed with light green stripes. This Italian heirloom was called Cocozella di Napoli in the 1800s. The term ‘zucchini’ was published in the US by California seed house Aggeler & Musser in 1921, It grows fast and goes all season! This bush type variety produces lots of dark and light green pin-striped, Vitamin A rich zucchinis. They are excellent sliced, fried, steamed, grilled, and even stuffed! Good canner as well as freezer! Since it is a fast grower, it can be planted spring, summer, or early fall. Pick often to extend harvest. Best flavor is around 12” and under!
