Jupiter Burley Tobacco- VERY RARE heirloom seeds

Jupiter Burley (Nicotiana tabacum) is a German variety. It grows to 6-7 feet and is a reliable producer of large heavy leaf in a wide range of climates. Jupiter has good resistance to potato virus (PVY) and are very sensitive to blue mold.

Leaves grow up to 20” wide and 28” long. The nicotine amount is relatively high compared to other modern German variants (the same as most Turkish orienteering). The yield is medium but with a very good leaf quality and good taste.

Burley Tobacco adds some body with a sweet nutty flavor. Burley is a favorite among blenders because it can stand alone or seamlessly mix with others. As a result, Burley featured in many of the most classic tobacco blends.
