Mount Pima (Nicotiana tabacum) is a primitive variety from Western Chihuahua, Mexico. It is cultivated both for its beautiful pink flowers and as a smoking variety. It has large, pointed leaves and reaches up to five feet tall and is very hardy.
It closely resembles Little Dutch in its appearance, though its finished leaf quality is coarser. Mountain Pima resembles Papante even more closely. It is unclear if the name, "Mountain Pima," actually relates to the Native tribal, Mountain Pima people (or the Taramil 'O'Odham).
Leaves air cure to a medium brown and are mild and excellent for blending.
