Banana Melon Cantaloupe - RARE heirloom 10 seeds

A very old heirloom melon, Banana Melon is an interesting and delicious novelty. The flesh is very sweet and aromatic. Its fruit are an interesting, elongated shaped, pinched at the ends, with a yellow skin that is mostly smooth with very little netting. It resembles a giant (18 to 24 inch long and 4 inch diameter) banana, hence its name. Fruits weigh about five pounds.

This melon variety has a sweet, spicy salmon flesh that is delicious. This heirloom is an all time favorite for being very sweet and perfect for specialty markets.

Banana Melon is early enough to grow very successfully in the North.
